Toilet repair in the SGV
Lift the tank lid, snap a photo of the parts inside, and text it to (310) 628-9399. That one photo answers most of our questions.
Running and slow filling
A running toilet is losing water past the flapper, and the fill valve keeps replacing it. A slow fill usually means grit or scale in the fill valve.
Both parts swap without removing the toilet. We measure the flush valve and tank so older tanks get parts that fit.
Weak flushes
Check the chain first: too much slack and the flapper closes early. Scale in the rim holes can also weaken a flush, especially in very hard water areas.
Rocking and seepage
A bowl that rocks has loose bolts at the floor and may have a broken wax seal underneath. We reset it on new bolts and a new seal.
If the flange or floor is damaged, we explain what we found before going further.
Questions we hear around the valley
Can old toilets take new parts?
Usually yes, once the tank and flush valve are measured.
How fast should a tank refill?
A minute or so. Much longer suggests a clogged fill valve.
